The Bishop of Kumbo Mgr George Nkuo in his homily during the Mass described Sister Fisiy Bolang’s decision to join the sisterhood as a courageous step towards serving God. Parishioners of Djottin, from where Little Sister Fisiy Emma hails, also called on the newly professed to be steadfast to her vocation and sustain it to the end.
They promised her the needed support and called on other youths to emulate the example of Sister Emma. Rev. Sister Fisiy Emma was born in 1970. She attended Catholic School Ngeptang where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate.
She worked with the YCW of Djottin Parish for a year before proceeding to the secondary school at Girls Vocational College in Djottin, which is today known as St. Theresa’s Comprehensive Secondary School. After obtaining her CAP Certificate, she taught in the same school for a year. She then proceeded to Bamenda where she joined the Little Sisters of Jesus.
She later moved to Yaounde where the congregation is also found. She also received training in Nigeria, Tanzania, Kenya and France before taking her perpetual and final vows.
