Message of greetings from the Bishop of Limburg

+ Franz Kamphaus
Bishop of Limburg

Dear Cornelius,

My heart of is filled with joy to congratulate you to be installed as the Archbishop of Bamenda on the 23rd January 2006. This step acknowledges your permanent commitment for and among the Christians of the North West Province of Cameroon to spread the good news to the poor as the gospel guide us.

Within the Ecclesiastical Province of Bamenda you have promoted the pastoral development plan inspired by Ecclesia in Africa and forming small Christian Communities in the region.
As the Archbishop of Bamenda you will be the shepherd do this enriching process to let the Church of the ecclesiastical province of Bamenda grow in future.
The Diocese of Limburg in Germany, and myself as the Bishop of Limburg, we are very thankful for the experience of common ways within the one universal church during the past years. The interrelations among the churches in Germany and Cameroon are encouraging and inspiring to fulfil our local witness of the Gospel.
Today, on the 22nd January, we celebrate the Patrons Day of Sacred Vincent Pallotti, founder of the Pallotines, who brought the Catholic faith to Cameroon and also the day of ordination of the first Bishop of Cameroon, Mons. Heinrich Vieler, at Limburg Cathedral in the year 1905.
May our Lord bless our relations also in future I congratulate you on the occasion of your instalment as the Archbishop of Bamenda and I am sure that our ways will lead into a common future.
In my prayers I will lead into a common future. In my prayers I will recommend you, the Archdiocese of Bamenda and the whole Ecclesiastical Province to the grace of our Lord.
May He and blessed Mary, Patron of Cameroon, be with you all and bless you abundantly.

Sincerely yours
Limburg, 22nd January 2006
